Ice Plum

$320.00

Red plum blossoms and bamboo leaves on a cracked-ice lattice, after a Qing-dynasty window. Needle-felted by hand in Spanish wool.

Cracked-ice lattice was a favorite of Chinese garden windows: in 1634 the garden manual Yuan Ye called it best suited to them. Ice Plum follows a Qing-dynasty window, with plum blossom, which flowers in late winter, and sprays of bamboo.
