A four-petal lotus in cool blues, after the lotus floor bricks of Tang palaces. Needle-felted by hand in Spanish wool.

In Tang China, square bricks molded with a lotus paved the royal palaces; at Daming Palace they lined the sloping approaches to its halls. Some bricks still carry traces of green and red paint, so they may once have been colored. Lotus Brick keeps the lotus at the center of the square and brings it back in color, in cool blue wool.
